Naim High End Home Audio & Video Systems

A passionate and committed interest in music is the foundation stone of Naim Audio that has enabled us to design and manufacture what we believe to be the finest sounding range of audio equipment available in the world today. While all our products must meet and exceed many measurable parameters we believe that they should, above all, be capable of delivering the kind of musical performance that we ourselves would want to live with. This requires a special and unique approach to component selection and system design along with a highly specialized production environment.

500 Series

The Naim 500 Series represents the ultimate expression of the state-of-the-art in musical replay systems. The performance of each individual element is, we believe, unsurpassed, but when the three are combined they form a union that is truly magical in its breathtaking ability to connect you with the music. The 500 Series began with the introduction of the fabulous NAP 500 power amplifier, a two- box 140W design that could deliver traditional Naim Reference-level performance into any loudspeaker load, even over prolonged periods. The range subsequently expanded with the introduction of the NAC 552 preamplifier, which we consider to be the finest preamplifier in the world, and the equally superb, state-of-the-art CD555 CD player and 555 PS power supply.

Classic Series

The Classic components are those models - or their descendants - that helped our company to establish its enviable reputation for world- class sound. Some of these designs, such as the legendary NAP 250 power amplifier, have been undergoing revisions and improvements since their introduction: and in the case of the 250 that was the 1970s. These are modern day Classics in the truest sense of the word and benefit from having been thoroughly tried and tested by the most discerning listeners - including many well-regarded musicians - as well as being scrupulously fine tuned for years.

XS Series

The XS family of products is far more than another selection of separates components aiming to introduce customers to Naim's performance first philosophy. All the products have been designed and engineered to work in complete harmony with one other. They can be easily upgraded if desired and are all versatile, leading edge components with contemporary, slim-line styling. The sound they produce is sublime and far superior to other equipment at the same price level or even much higher.

i Series

The i Series range of components represents our introductory electronics, even though listening tells another story: they simply sound far too sophisticated to be considered 'entry-level'. The CD5i and NAIT 5i benefit from technology that has trickled down from the stratospheric heights of the 500 series. They also feature advanced design elements that were introduced solely for these models, which partly explains why they perform as well as they do. The i models provide a readily affordable beginning to Naim ownership and thus to the pinnacle of audio performance.

Uniti

Our first all-in-one audio system, and the first product we launched in the Uniti family, NaimUniti exceeded everyone's expectations and has proven to be immensely popular world wide. The single case contains a CD player, an amplifier, and a multi-format tuner delivering FM, DAB and internet radio, together with a whole host of analogue and digital inputs. It can also stream digital media from any UPnP- enabled device (PC, Mac) or Network Attached Storage (NAS) on the home network and has iPod connectivity. You can even connect a turntable, if you so wish. UnitiQute joins its larger sibling, also offering all-in-one capabilities, minus the CD player, but in a smaller, more compact casing.

Ovator

The Ovator loudspeaker represents another 'first' for Naim. The design is the first high-end loudspeaker to employ a Balanced Mode Radiator. This clever device covers the audio spectrum from 380Hz upwards to beyond the limits of human perception, which means that, unlike conventional loudspeakers, it has no crossover right in the middle of the critical voice region to affect its performance.

This speaker sounds wonderfully natural whether it is reproducing the biggest bass drum or the tiniest triangle.

n-Series

The n-Series loudspeakers are intended for both stereo and AV use and there is an n-SUB subwoofer specifically designed to accommodate both disciplines and deliver optimal performance in either. A dedicated bracket helps owners position the n-SAT satellite speakers for the best results, whether they are being used in a 5.1 - or a 2-channel system. Their diminutive, room-friendly proportions do not even hint at the scale of the sound they can reproduce.

Naim Uniti Amplifier / Streaming Music Player

Naim Uniti CD player/receiver
In an industry whose newest products are often as discouragingly unaffordable as they are short of the sonic mark, the Naim Audio Uniti ($3795) stands out. In a single reasonably sized box, the Uniti combines the guts of Naim's Nait 5i integrated amplifier and CD5i CD player with various additional sources: an FM/DAB tuner, and interfaces for an iPod, a USB memory stick, an iRadio, and a UPnP-compatible connected computer or server—all for the price of a very good television set.

Naim XS Amplifier

Naim Nait XS
Super small? Truly petite Naim's Nait XS is not but a chassis height of barely 7cm does make it a lowrider. Perhaps the header should have read super and small? After all, the newest integrated from Salisbury claims to be the gussied-down descendant of Naim's top Supernait. Shrunk too has the price, at one-point- seven about half of big(ger) brother.

Ovator S600 Speakers

Naim Ovator S-600 Loudspeakers – Review
Naim has been technologically innovative with its new baby. For starters, it has eschewed a conventional bass/midrange/tweeter arrangement, instead choosing to reach back in time to use a little-known driver combining high and mid-range frequencies. It’s called a balanced mode radiator (BMR), essentially a flat circular diaphragm capable of reproducing all frequencies from 380Hz up to 35kHz. It’s astonishing stuff, but the innovation doesn’t end there. The Ovator S-600s are a tour de force of speaker design. They are stunningly built and styled, and sound fantastic to boot. Even better, they’ll continue to improve over the years.
