B&W 802D Speakers
The B&W 802D loudspeakers came to play. It brings the musical performance into the room, right in front of the listener, rather than opening a window on a performance happening in some other, more distant space. Such powerful immediacy without glare or stridency is a thrilling and untiring aspect of all B&W speakers.

B&W 803D Speaker System
This series of B&W speakers are a prime example of the successful manifestation of build and design principle into sonic reality in the listening room. But the pure enjoyment and excitement that this system delivered is probably the ultimate compliment I can pay it. This B&W speaker system was as enveloping, exhilarating, and flat-out enjoyable as any speaker system I've ever heard.

B&W 804S Floor-Standing Speakers and HTM3S Center Channel Speaker
Well, the verdict is in. Of all the speakers made throughout the world, for those that I have listened to, B&W speakers remain some of my favorites. Their powerful, yet smooth, sound reminds me of some of my other preferred designs, namely, ribbons and ESLs. In particular, the HTM3S is one of the best center channel speakers out there.

The 805D series B&W speakers are a tour de force of style and technology in a compact package. Whether you are buying a pair as your main speakers in a high-performance two-channel system or a multichannel setup, you'll find that they offer up performance well beyond their small size. While I missed purchasing the last version, I didn't let the 805D's get away.

B&W CM-7 Speakers
Ever notice the way cheap audio gear usually gives you controls with names like “spatial expander” and “hyper bass” to, well, hype up the sound, whereas top-of-the-line gear is typically devoid of such controls? While I suppose many would argue that a cheap system usually needs a little sonic goosing at the top and bottom to sound good, I feel it has more to do with the system’s ability, or lack thereof, to deliver an accurate and articulate mid- range performance. While foundation- shifting bass and a soaring top end might keep the kiddies impressed for a few minutes, it’s that vast stretch of octaves in between that really separates the men from the boys when it comes to delivering knockout audio performance.

B&W CT-800 Speakers
As Kong and his dinosaur antagonists clomp about clumsily, the CT800 from B&W speakers pounds right along, shaking the entire theater with each of the giant ape’s thunderous steps. It’s louder than my ears can stand for long, but I hear not a trace of distortion or harshness.

Bowers & Wilkins CT 700 Series Loudspeakers Reviewed
What Bowers & Wilkins have done with their entire CT Series, specifically the CT 700s reviewed here, comes closer to bridging the gap between the filmmaker and the home viewer than any speaker I've encountered before them. They convincingly recreate a true home theatre movie experience, provided you can accommodate their unique installation demands or don't mind their control room-chic look. Looking back on my time spent with the CT 700s, no other speakers, and we did use a number of various brands, got us closer and made us feel more comfortable going to the final stages of locking the sound than these classy B&W speakers did.

B&W 684 Speakers
The B&W 684 was a treat to have in my system. It was nice to have a well-designed, very affordable speaker on hand to deflate my speaker snobbery. The speaker's performance as a whole surprised me, and the detailed smoothness of its midrange wowed me.

B&W 683 Speakers
The 683 is the top model in B&W’s most recent incarnation of the entry-level 600 Series. It’s not a speaker range to be taken lightly, especially given that B&W is one of the largest dedicated loudspeaker makers in the world and thus one of the biggest players in the audiophile market.

B&W M-1 and PV1
It might be difficult to endorse the M-1’s audiophile pretensions with real enthusiasm, but it’s very easy to like and enjoy – it’s exceptionally neat and discreet, and relatively inexpensive too. And that’s praise-worthy in a very small satellite speaker.
